Cost

For Classes

Total course cost is $300 per couple (”crash course” costs vary).

A $50 non-refundable deposit secures your place. The balance is due no later than the first class. Payments by cash, check, or Paypal accepted. Email carisa@birthseasons.com to request Paypal payment.

The $300 per couple fee includes: the 12 week course; class workbook; lecture, discussion, video, and guided practice; as well as the optional (but fun!) group reunion after all babies are born. Please note that a reasonable need for a refund will be considered if a situation arises with which you cannot continue classes.

Additional reading will be recommended and these books can be purchased, borrowed, or found at your local library.

For Labor Support

Total cost for these services is $450.

A $200 non-refundable deposit is due when hired as your support person, the final balance paid at your first post-partum visit. Payments by cash, check, or Paypal accepted. Email carisa@birthseasons.com to request Paypal payment

What is My Fee Based On?
When I commit to a birth, I am fully available 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after your estimated due date (though I will do my best to be there if you go earlier or later than this range). I must also be available at all hours. This is a big commitment for me, especially with young children, and may include the cost of childcare.

Many Doulas in the Seattle area charge between $600 and $1500 for their services. Mine is set lower because I do not bring the same experience that many of these support people do. I am in the beginning of my professional experience and hope that my services and initial lower fee will be of benefit to you as building my experience through the support of your birth will be to me. In considering meeting with and hiring me, please know that I have complete confidence in my ability as your professional support person and believe it is a special honor to work with you.
